Last fall, I met up with these two in Eureka Springs, Arkansas to shoot their engagements. They decided to drive up from Texas and use their engagement session as an excuse for a weekend away and rented a cabin in the Arkansas woods. We instantly felt at ease around each other we had a blast spending the day together, which made me even more stoked for their wedding. Kaleb and Marissa have been together since high-school and it was so neat to learn more about their story from their closest friends and family who surrounded them on their special day.
On their wedding day, Kaleb and his groomsmen got ready at an Airbnb while Marissa and her bridesmaids got ready at the venue. It was a super relaxed morning and everyone involved was so excited for them. Though a change in weather threw a small kink in plans for an outdoor ceremony, these two rolled with the punches and were so laid back about having their ceremony inside. They truly only cared about the most important parts- the people, and the fact they would still be married at the end of the day. Their ceremony ended up being so beautiful as the natural light shined in through the floor to ceiling windows behind them as they said their vows to each other. After the ceremony, we were able to take portraits outside and the light was incredible. We were fortunate enough to get blessed with the most breathtaking cotton-candy sky right before sundown as we took bride + groom portraits – and we soaked up every second of it! These two then spent the remaining hours of their day celebrating and dancing with their loved ones and it a blast reliving it all again as I edited and worked on every image.
Marissa + Kaleb, you two are truly such a special couple and I can’t wait to see what life brings you. You are going to kill it at marriage!
