Heather + Ehren | Kansas City, Missouri | The Legacy at Green Hills Wedding

Heather, Ehren and I met for the first time when we sat down at a newly opened brewery in Kansas City, before a day of shooting their engagement photos. Hours passed and by the time we were leaving the brewery to head to the greenhouse for their session, they felt like old friends. Sometimes as a wedding photographer, that happens. You meet a couple and it feels as if you are just catching up from old times and that you have known each other for much longer than a matter of a few hours. That was the case with Heather and Ehren; it was the case from the very beginning.
Throughout the planning process, Heather and I got to know each other even more and I knew that their wedding was going to be a special one. Heather is a hard worker, hilarious, knows exactly what she wants and isn’t going to stop until she has exactly that (and probably then some)- I love that about her and knew her wedding dreams were soon to become a reality.
From their initial inquiry with me, they let me know that they didn’t want a traditional wedding. They weren’t doing a bridal party and they wanted to make their day intimate- with their very closest loved ones and wanted their day to be a reflection of who they were as a couple, and nothing else.
Their wedding day was at The Legacy at Green Hills- a beautiful venue with a very unique, homey-type vibe. This day held some very special moments between the two of them, as you will see below. There were many laughs and many tears- it was a wonderful celebration as they came together as one.
Ehren + Heather, you are two truly remarkable human beings. Not only do you love your dogs as much as you love your other family members, but you love each other deeply and passionately. I was honored to play a role in your day- and will love you both forever.
